The town has plenty of bars , restaurants , shops in the Spanish style like Panaderias for daily fresh bread and banks. The medical centre is a 5 minute walk away , and the Vega Baja hospital is a 5 minute drive . There are 3 schools close by , a junior , primary and secondary school .The secondary school is a 5 minute walk up toward the Paraje Natural La Pilarica which is also home to the sports pavilion , picnic area and the 3 outdoor communal pools. The town has 2 fiestas per year , 1 in May and the 2nd in October , and countless performances throughout the year on the Plaza de Espana. Look out for the Grand Paella. The beaches of Guardamar are 15 minutes drive and La Finca golf is a 5 minute drive. If you are looking for a taste of real Spain and remain close to modern amenities this is the place for you.
